26 Grains: Healthy Food in Covent Garden

Celeriac dish at 26 Grains Covent Garden

Our Rating

I can’t explain why I have been so intrigued to go to 26 Grains. Maybe it’s the fact I am a porridge addict? My go to lazy dinner at home is porridge with bananas and blueberries…Maybe just because the menu looks simple and good?

We happened to be in Covent Garden and looking for an easy healthy-ish option so popped in. The evening menu is very restricted but they had a soup that appealed enough for Stewart to concede and fulfill my wishes to try out the restaurant.
What we ate:
Beeet hummus: Crunchy toast and nicely seasoned beety flavour

Celeriac, pickled carrots, grilled leeks, Stilton and buckwheat: I am a sucker for celeriac so this hit the spot. Earthy, filling and good.

Cauliflower and artichoke soup: Creamy and rich without being heavy

We took a brownie to go that was absolutely delicious. A must must indulgence!
In sum: Simple cute spot. I wouldn’t go out of my way but if in the area, I would pop in to try their breakfast porridges.
