I went to Budapest for two days to meet my dad and wife and my niece who was visiting from Valencia. The one restaurant I knew I couldn’t miss was Mazel Tov-plus how could we resist a restaurant with such a name!
Mazel Tov is a gorgeous open restaurant with beautiful high glass ceilings and an open and friendly vibe. They serve guess what? Israeli food!
We started with sharing plates of perfectly roasted cauliflower and mushroom covered hummus. Their version was a little bit creamier than the traditional and we couldn’t spot eating it with their freshly baked warm pita pockets.
I had a juicy salmon on top of an addictive quinoa, bulgur, tomato, cucumber, onion, mint and pomegranate salad.
My nice and dad’s wife both devoured their very generous falafel sandwiches and my dad pronounced his pastrami sandwich the best in Budapest (not sure he has had others…).
The chocolate brownie was more of a cake virus my preferred denser gooey version but the berry sauce served with it was good.
An absolutely delicious meal Budapest. Go!
