My friend Val picked Loring Place with advice from her sister who is food obsessed like me. The menu is incredible-one of those menus that creates stress because I want to eat everything on it. My friend Josh is involved in the restaurant so he put a good word with the manager, which meant we ended up with several unplanned dishes that showed up to surprise us!

We started with perfect pistachio morning bun. Flaky and very cinnamony.

The whipped baked ricotta was one of the most addictive and delicious dishes we have encountered recently. We couldn’t stop eating until every morsel was gone!

The broccoli salad was also perfection. My favorite vegetable was perfectly charred and served with oranges and mint. Loved it.

We couldn’t resist the savory waffle with cheese and ham on the batter and topped with a poached egg. It was ok but not a must order and not nearly as good as the one at Hally’s in London.

In addition to the morning bun, they also sent us zucchini fries with a particularly delicious lemon and Parmesan dip. I don’t usually order fried foods so I wish they were a bit crispier, like a tempura but that dip was amazing and I even smeared some on my waffle.
Another lovely surprise was the kale watermelon salad.

In sum: tasty brunch cocktails, great food and adorable setting. Would love to come back for brunch or dinner. The dessert menu also looks amazing but we were too full. Another reason to come back!
