It’s hard to find a better way to spend the day than spending it at the Manoir aux Quat’Saisons Cooking School. We went last year, which makes this an extremely belated post, but we spent most of the day in the kitchen, slaving away… Not really.
We had a spring menu to prepare, and we worked on a salad, a soup, a fish course, a lamb dish and last but not least, a dessert. The day started with coffee and biscuits (I am becoming so British…) as the chef explained what the day would be like. We then headed to the kitchen where we cooked, and tasted everything that we had prepared. By the end of the day, we were stuffed and happy!

The difference between the Manoir aux Quat’Saisons Cooking School and other cooking classes that we have participated in before is that in this case, we have actually cooked several of the courses again since we learned them, in particular, the vegetable soup which we have made over and over again, and can now almost do without referring to the recipe.
After all the cooking, and eating, we headed to their gardens to see how they grow the produce that they use at the cooking school and restaurant including gorgeous vegetables, ripe tomatoes and all of the herbs. It was a wonderful day!
